Meet Dr. Ana El-Behadli

Dr. El-Behadli is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based, family-centered care for children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. She provides services in English and Spanish.

Dr. El Behadli works with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, chronic illness or pain, and suicidality or self-harm. She also providers parent consultation for parents of children and adolescents with various emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Prior to co-founding Clear Mind Collective Psychology Group, Dr. El-Behadli was a pediatric psychologist at Dell Children’s Medical Center and an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at UT Austin’s Dell Medical School. Since transitioning to private practice, Dr. El-Behadli has remained actively involved in consultation, training, and research. She holds a courtesy medical staff appointment at Dell Children’s Medical Center where she provides consultation to the psychiatric intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs (IOP/PHP). She also serves as Affiliate Faculty in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at UT Austin’s Dell Medical School where she provides clinical supervision and training to psychology and psychiatry trainees.

As part of her commitment to evidence-based care, Dr. El-Behadli continues to be involved in academic research. Dr. El-Behadli is a co-investigator on a national, multi-site study funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and led by investigators at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. El-Behadli has published her research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at professional conferences nationwide, receiving recognition at a national level.

Dr. El-Behadli received her PhD in clinical psychology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she also completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her educational background also includes a master’s degree in Child and Human Development from Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rice University. Dr. El-Behadli has trained and worked at some of the top academic medical centers in the country including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford University School of Medicine and Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
